G4 bulbs are a popular light bulb in Motorhomes, Caravans and Automobiles. G4 LED bulbs are a fantastic alternative to old halogen bulbs as they are energy saving, cheaper to run and emit the same output of light as old halogen bulbs. We have a growing number of UK home owners and business owners contacting us on a weekly basis who want to make the conversion from old halogen lamps to energy efficient LED’s.  

12v Halogen G4 Capsules

G4 20 Watt halogen capsules are the most common wattage which are used throughout the UK but 10W and 35W are also very popular bulbs however they are quite costly to run. We have a wide range of energy saving G9 LED bulbs in 1W, 2W and 3W which cater for any wattage of halogen, emit a cleaner light and are much cheaper to run.

Although the initial outlay changing over to G4 LED Bulbs can be quite costly you will soon see the benefit on your electricity bills once you have converted to LED’s. On average a G4 bulb is used for 8 hours a day, if we calculate the costs on a 20W halogen bulb used for this duration 365 days a year it would cost you around £5.84. A great LED alternative to this would be our high power GU10 30 x 3528 SMD LED bulb which uses only 2.5W of power, if you ran this bulb for the same duration it would cost you 58p and save you a massive £5.25 over a 12 month period….
